A Medium Everyday / Средний Каждый день

05232014 Water Color, Ink and Tzar Jay.  “Pronounced Czar Yay”                          Seriously.

I began a project dialing random telephone numbers beginning with area code 512. I asked whomever answered the phone to describe either their best anecdote, a life-changing decision, a childhood memory or simply speak to me about what they were doing at the time. …one might have been a Russian code writer.

Tzar explained to me, “The best music, is written with buttons.”

05202014  My new phone.  Sara surprised me with, a great first video for a device that works with my computer.  Debbie Gibson Haynes and Kevin aka Oliver Twist, Fresh Kid Ice, Marquis Your Brotha.

No, you haven’t seen the “Magician”, the “Flowered”,  or “The Bunion”, because the “Oliver Twist” is the lie down, don’t mess and decide move.  This video demonstrates Kevin’s tactical maneuver he named after himself.

Beware & Admire.

05152014   I used an Olympus SLR for this one…I can’t remember the APS sensor model or Tamron / Sigma Lens, at Sears Portrait Studio.

I don’t care, I make the kids laugh.  I really do, and its hard work that I love.  No exploitation just happiness.  I caused that expression and captured it.

We do it with music and art.

This was taken years ago in West, Texas.  I had no idea this phenomenon would still exist.  If I’m not mistaken, this was at The Little Czech Bakery.

04152014  Water’s Color’s, Ink and Victor

I began a project dialing random telephone numbers beginning with area code 512. I asked whomever answered the phone to describe either their best anecdote, a life-changing decision, a childhood memory or simply speak to me about what they were doing at the time. I explained how I was going to illustrate their words with ink and paint while they spoke.

The majority of the phone calls answered were confused elderly folk and directly hung up fearing I was “a’ solicitin'”.

No matter, Victor was in “pool” sales and maintenance years ago, “the built in types”.  One of Victor’s client’s child found light and suffocated in water’s (sic).  Victor was “Frog’s Ass’s Tights”, and never again would he “…even check the P.H. balances of pool’s  leave me alone”.  Worried, we spoke for two minutes.

04142014 Watercolors, Ink and Stephanie

I began a project dialing random telephone numbers beginning with area code 512.  I asked whomever answered the phone to describe either their best anecdote, a life-changing decision, a childhood memory or simply speak to me about what they were doing at the time.  I explained how I was going to illustrate their words with ink and paint while they spoke.

Everyone complimented Stephanie on her hair ( she is a stylist ), however she felt her “heart was strangled by her weight”.  Stephanie cried opening up to a stranger on the phone.  I tried giving her words of comfort, but I couldn’t paint her beautiful because I needed to represent “Steph” as she described herself and her predicament.    Stephanie didn’t elaborate beyond drastic surgery to “complete the inevitable”.  We talked for 20 minutes.
