Massoud Hossaini is a douche

Here is the Pulitzer Prize winning photograph for 2012.  Covered in blood amid a tangled heap of dead mothers and children, 12-year-old Tarana Akbari punctuates the chaotic aftermath of a suicide attack with a scream for help.  The moment was captured by Massoud Hossaini, who himself was wounded in the attack.

‘Women were asking me, “Help, help, help,”‘ Mr. Hossaini said. ‘I couldn’t. I was recording and I was taking pictures.’   Hossaini continued to take photos, working one-handed.

After some time, he had his driver take him back to his hotel, as he could no longer bare to shoot photos of the event.  Continuing to work one-handed. Hossaini uploaded the photos to the press wire and very shortly after, he received word that his photo had been picked up by a number of publications across the world.

I could go on and on about this guy, but I won’t.

Smoke’em if you got ’em

Yesterday was Holocaust Remembrance Day, we celebrated the horrific stories of the 6 million Jews who were gassed, starved and shot point blank throughout WWII.  However, we didn’t even give notice t0 the others that don’t bitch and complain about it.  Such as…

  • Soviet POW’s- 3.3 million
  • Non-Jewish Poles- 1.8-2 million
  • Romanis (‘gypsies’)- 220,000- 270,000 (but even the higher figure may be too low)
  • Disabled- 200,000 – 250,000
  • Homosexuals- 5,000 – 15,000
  • Jehovahs Witnesses- 2,500 – 5,000

Moreover, today is National Weed Remembrance Day, which also usually means a Bob Marley Festival is within 50 miles of your location.

Please, smoke’em if you got’em today as you might have remembered smoking them yesterday and consider how you will bear that responsibility by learning how you can support, and get involved with, the organizations that are committed to educating about the  farcical comedies of both the Holocaust and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol to never allowing the world to forget.

Lost In Translation

If a person were to say to you “I don’t want to talk to an irritated person.”  Can anyone else think of a valid debatable argument convincing someone they should continue speaking with you, the irritated person?  I couldn’t.

Wish me good luck at the job-fair this afternoon!

Texas

Welcome to Texas.

Within arms length is your illustrated map of the biggest state next to Mexico. It’s ongoing mission and creation was built to inform non-Texans and Texans that don’t travel about the states region’s and/or city’s inhabitants.

This is where to find the people you will forever share effervescent love and companionship.

Dallas

If you’re five-foot-six and you find yourself at a daytime rave dressed as James Spader with mascara running down your face, it may finally be time to stop listening to your unconditionally supportive friends and family and seriously consider taking your own life.

Nacogdoches

  LOLZ, a lot of LOLZ.

Arlington

It’s really terrible how in Haiti these people are still living in the street without toilets.

Waco

Most would puke less if this photo was taken at the annual AVN Adult Movie Convention circa 1997 in Nevada. Unfortunately, it was last week in downtown Waco.

San Antonio

This shit is gay.

Lubbock

While a greater amount of us have dedicated  brainspace to juggling a religion’s worth of ethical dietary restrictions, an entire segment of our population still struggles with “Try not to eat an entire bowl of mayonnaise.”

Laredo

This is the type of house you’ll find in Laredo.  Filled with cigarette butts, smells like burger and has a black-and-white TV.  It smells like burger.

El Paso

There’s aint no atheists in a foxhole and not a whole lot of radical feminists in a heatwave.

Galveston

Lung herpes.

Bryan/College Station

…Bryan/College Station, largest alcohol consumption per capita.

Garland

Where how proud you are about where you’re from is inversely proportionate to how proud where you’re from is about you.
